We Made It!

We made it about 2 hours before we needed a pit stop. We stopped in at the Flying Goose Brew Pub.

Ann got the Isle of Pines Brandeywune 10.7%. And I got the Honey Wheat IPA.

You know it's good if it comes in a snifter!

We had our drinks under a bunch of dead animals

Before we left Super Grover did a fly by.

I took over driving so Ann took control of the photos.  Here's some pics from the road.

We saw this sign and started talking like Fran Drescher.

Ann packed some wee baps for the road...mmmm...

She also made roadies for the ride.

We also dedicated a song to Fran while we were driving through Vermont

*Video*

After some time we made it to the Canadian Border. I did get slightly confused and pulled in where people coming back to the US were coming in...oops.  And I'm pretty sure, when the border patrol person asked me where we were from, I probably didn't need to tell her the exact towns in Massachusetts we each live in.

I will say they do have much more fun signs in Canada. Apparently things get pretty risqué between the cars and deer here.

And deer run sexily through the streets

We very much enjoyed the XM radio too and found our theme song

And of course pictures with Super G had to be taken

And he took a fly around the car

We also found Grover gives people the hairy eyeball when they pass us.

We are having some tire issues but we'll deal with that tomorrow.

We got checked into the Best Western.

Our keys didn't work so I ran back to the desk and Ann and Super G took some pictures while they waited.

Here's our room

And we took a group photo:

Now we are deciding if we should just keep drinking or actually head to the restaurant and have dinner....more to come tomorrow.

And We're Off!

Today we're heading to Quebec to the Hotel de Glacé (the Ice Hotel)!  Here's what we expect to see:

Well actually, for tonight, we're heading to the Best Western but tomorrow we'll be there.

So we picked up our sweet ride (named Sasha) for the road trip

Then we made sure we had everything packed including extra sleeping bag, down jacket (2 sizes too big to fit base layer, shirt, wool sweater and fleece under it), tequila and, of course, Super Grover!

Super G was so excited he wore my coat to bed last night (although he wears a furry, blue, adorable  coat every day so not sure why he thought he needed a jacket too)!

So now we're in Sasha and Ann's driving like a bat out of hell because Lola (the GPS) says it will take 7 hours and 42 minutes to get there but we want to make it in under 6 hours!

So we are just leaving Boston.  Went under the Zakim Bridge in Boston

and Ann got very excited when she saw this truck

So the drive will continue but I wanted to get something started for Lisa Porro!

More to come as long as we have a signal (no idea if we'll have a signal to post when we get to Canada but we'll do our best)!
